The Brazilians claimed the title ahead of their ESL Pro League Season 16 campaign.

MIBR won CCT Central Europe Series 1 after getting the better of 1WIN in the grand final, a three-map series that saw the teams win their map picks, Dust2 and Vertigo, before MIBR came out ahead following a 16-6 victory on Nuke.

MIBR's win means the Brazilian squad currently reside at the top of the Central Europe regional rankings, from which the top three teams qualify for the Central Europe studio LAN, set to take place in early 2023.

HEN1 was the final's top performer with a 1.32 rating

Both finalists were directly invited to the playoffs of the online tournament, meaning they skipped the opening Swiss group stage and joined at the quarter-final stage. The teams had a contrasting route to the grand final, however, with 1WIN not dropping a single map in their wins against Aurora, FORZE and Falcons. On the other side of the bracket, MIBR struggled to get past Tricked and Monte in close games, before making light work of EC Kyiv to book their ticket in the final.

The grand final began with 1WIN edging out their CT half on Dust2 with a 9-6 scoreline, before MIBR displayed an even stronger CT side to win the map 16-12. Vertigo began with another strong defensive half by the Brazilians, putting up a seven-round lead at the interval. Their T side was much less convincing, however, as they dropped the lead and lost the map 16-13.

MIBR were the ones to start on the CT side of Nuke and ran away with a dominant performance to once again lead 11-4 at halftime. This time their offensive side was equally impressive, with the Brazilians looking comfortable on their way to a 16-6 win and the CCT Central Europe Series 1 title.

Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles was MIBR's standout player across the event, as the 27-year-old AWPer averaged a 1.26 rating, with young gun Breno "⁠brnz4n⁠" Poletto not far behind with a 1.24.
